1. The band 'Federal as Anything' featuring AFP Commissioner Tony Negus has released its charity single available on the iTunes music store with all proceeds going towards the AUSPOL - Police Welfare Foundation.

2. The AUSPOL - Police Welfare Foundation has launched its television, radio and internet appeal titled 'Support our Police'. Please see the TV advertisement narrated by John Laws below.

Auspol- Police Welfare Foundation is funded by donations from both the public and organisations. The biggest single supporter of Auspol has been the Australian Federal Police Association and men and women of the AFP who choose to make regular fortnightly tax deductable donations. Other notable supporters have been the Hon Kevin Rudd MP and Mr John Laws CBE.

Countrywide Austral conduct ongoing collection strategies on a formally agreed basis on behalf of Auspol. These strategies take the form of seeking individual and business support to publish important handbooks on various issues of public safety, particularly relevant to young people. A series of StreetSmart publications are produced, which we support.

The Auspol Board are very pleased to welcome Dr Klaus Czoban to the Benefits Assignment Committee. His experience as a Military and later AFP Medical Advisor will be of great value in resolving on the most effective way to assist an individual who qualifies for Auspol's help.
